I grow my own St John's wort as the only place I've seen them growing wild is in Cornwall - here at Trewince and on the banks of Bodmin railway. You need to be very careful who you buy SJW dried plant from as it has a very short shelf life.Sarah Headhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08975928642943693605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3765060233389739578.post-88859882101206053282009-08-18T00:18:58.061-07:002009-08-18T00:18:58.061-07:00Oooh, more things for me to try! I collect herbs and then forget to use them without being reminded! Thanks again!
I posted the rather long process of how I made my garden liqueur on my blog just now. You will have to forgive the lack of precision as I made this over the course of three weeks as herbs came available for me but so far, it tastes fantastic!lindahttp://rebelpigs.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3765060233389739578.post-72237281896493368952009-07-31T05:44:11.368-07:002009-07-31T05:44:11.368-07:00Hi Linda - wonderful to hear your news! I swear by yarrow and plantain and I'd add in calendula, SJW and some violet or marshmallow leaf to add moisture. As she's so young, I wouldn't add any comfrey. Hope all continues to go well and let us know how your iced tea cordial turns out. I'm intrigued to know what you've put in it!Sarah Headhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08975928642943693605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3765060233389739578.post-68027136810927323752009-07-31T03:48:26.506-07:002009-07-31T03:48:26.506-07:00Hi Sarah

It was because of your blog that I found Kiva and between the two of you, I have been inspired to move out of herbal theory (where I have been dwelling for a few years with some basic practice) and into nearly daily practice.
I also make medicinal cordials. My latest, which is still steeping, is based on an herbal iced tea mix I had been enjoying from my garden plus a few in my pantry. I won't be distilling until next week but so far, it tastes wonderful!

Also, just wanted to thank you on my daughters behalf and my own for the advise you gave me regarding my her road rash (rose water and aloe). The remedy (especially the rose water) definitely reduced inflammation and heat immediately. The doctor was amazed at how quickly my daughters skin was healing. At first they said it will definitely scar badly but now they are thinking otherwise.lindahttp://rebelpigs.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3765060233389739578.post-34923003257305367032009-07-30T06:56:57.691-07:002009-07-30T06:56:57.691-07:00Hi Rowan
